Copper Designs

Cut and flattened copper, salvaged from discarded hot water cylinders, provides the foundation for a series of distinctive artworks. Once rescued, the metal is cleaned, prepared, and shaped by hand before becoming a canvas for layered design. Each piece is then etched, painted, and burnished to enhance the copper’s natural warmth, texture, and patina. The resulting works explore landscape and seascape themes, using the reflective surface of the metal to suggest light, movement, and depth. Through this process, materials once considered waste are transformed into compositions that celebrate both craftsmanship and renewal.
